I just wanted to explain to the plonkers out there who think England should be winning not only every game but every tournament they play in, that we are not very good! Here is my reasoning. Firstly, we have players who are playing in the Champions League but how many are actually starting every Champions League game. With the exception of Joe hart not one other English player is guaranteed to start every game. Secondly, every other country has got lots of players playing overseas. There a plenty of Spanish, Argentine, Brazilian, French, German, Dutch and Italians playing all over Europe. Last year Joe Cole played for Lille in France and England never sent anybody to watch him. There is more to football than just life in this country. Until people realise that we need players to go and play abroad and experience different styles and tactics we will never improve the national team.
