Dear TFM
I know Liverpool are not exactly setting the world alight at the moment but I can see what Brendan Rodgers is trying to do at Anfield. He wants Liverpool to play from the back at all times just like he did at Swansea and more importantly just like the Liverpool of the 80’s.
I do think he has been naive letting Andy Carroll go, considering we only have Suarez and Borini who can play up front. Why does he need to change everything all at once? It would have been better to build the team slowly. Carroll would at least have given us a different option in attack.
I think the players Brendan has brought in are correct for the style of football he wants to play, Assaidi looks great and Joe Allen is really starting to get us playing. I also really like the look of Jonjo Shelvey playing higher up the field. If we can add two or three more players that fit the system I think we can still qualify for the Europa League.
Graham from Anfield
